Wedding Film Approach
Fall in Love with Your Story, Again and Again
Every love has its own story.
Your wedding film is crafted to honor yours.
Each wedding film begins with a clear intention: to create something that is a true reflection of your love — your love for one another, the life you have built together, and the life you are continuing to build.
Woven into your film is a carefully told story that centers the people, moments, and details at the heart of your wedding day — creating a sense of celebration and meaning.
I approach each wedding with the goal of evoking a felt sense of the day and your love. Creating something that makes you feel is my specialty. Every choice — from what is filmed to how it is edited — is guided by the desire to elevate the emotional texture of the day: providing you with a chance to not only relive it, but to also experience it in a new light.
Through careful listening and intentional storytelling, each film becomes a one-of-a-kind heirloom — meant to be loved in the present and cherished in the future; something you return to years from now, looking back on this season of your lives and saying, I remember when.
Thoughtful Preparation
Every film begins long before the camera comes out. Through conversation, questionnaires, and planning, I take time to understand what matters most — so when the day arrives, I know what to look for and how to tell the story in a way that feels personal, not generic.
Story-Driven Editing
The heart of each film is shaped in the edit. Vows, readings, speeches, and moments are woven together intentionally — often revealing emotional connections you didn’t even realize were happening in real time.
An Heirloom Result
The final film isn’t created for a single viewing – it’s created to be reveled in. Rooted in real relationships and timeless moments, it becomes something deeply personal: a record of who you were, how you loved, and what your life looked and felt like. It’s a film you return to as your story unfolds.
Some moments are important because they happen once.
Others matter because they continue to resonate.
This might be right for you if. . .
You want a wedding film that reflects who you are, not just what happened.
You’re intrigued by the idea of something custom-made, centered on what you truly cherish.
You value a process that’s thoughtful and creative.
You’re drawn to work that moves you now and will continue to do so for years to come.
That’s the kind of film I love creating.

Faqs
-
The Bonus Day is a separate filming day designed to capture your relationship beyond the wedding.
Up to 4 hours of coverage at a location (or locations) meaningful to you — a favorite beach, your home, the place you met, a slow morning coffee ritual, a walk in the woods.
This footage is woven intentionally into your final film to add depth and lived-in memory.
Travel fees may apply depending on location(s).
-
For Legacy films (and as an optional add-on), I offer a nostalgic VHS camcorder for you and your guests to use during the day.
It’s a joyful, low-pressure way to invite your people into the storytelling — often capturing candid, unforgettable moments from the inside. I then weave those textures into the final film in a way that feels intentional and emotionally resonant.
-
Yes — and I love when couples choose to do this.
If you have meaningful personal photos, childhood videos, old home movies, or even phone footage, I can thoughtfully weave them into your wedding film when it fits the story.
These pieces often become some of the most emotional moments in the final edit — because they add context, history, and a sense of lived-in memory.
-
Most couples reach out anywhere from 6–18 months ahead, but I also take on a limited number of weddings each year, so it’s always worth reaching out even if your date is coming up sooner.
-
Yes — I film weddings throughout Massachusetts and across New England. If you’re planning something a bit farther away, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to talk through travel details.
-
I’m always happy to hear what you’re drawn to, and couples often share songs they love.
That said, music licensing matters, and I choose music intentionally to support the emotional arc of your film. If you have something specific in mind, we can absolutely talk about it.
-
My work is not documentary coverage from start to finish — it’s storytelling.
Each film is crafted to reflect who you are: the emotional undercurrent of the day, the relationships that shape it, and the moments that carry meaning. The result is something cinematic, personal, and lasting — not templated, not generic, and not just a recap of events.
-
The first step is to fill out the Wedding Film Inquiry form. From there, I’ll reach out to schedule a conversation so we can talk through your day, what matters most to you, and what kind of film you’re drawn to. If it feels like the right fit, I’ll send over a proposal and contract to officially reserve your date.
-
Yes. Every Heirloom Love Stories film begins with a pre-wedding story interview with the two of you.
For Heirloom and Legacy collections, I also send thoughtful questionnaires to your loved ones to gather perspective, memories, and the details that make your story uniquely yours.
Because the most meaningful films don’t just show what happened — they understand who you are.
-
Film length depends on the collection you choose:
Keepsake films are a short highlight (about 3–4 minutes)
Heirloom films offer more space for story and pacing (about 6–8 minutes)
Legacy includes a fully developed short film (about 10–15 minutes)
Rather than focusing on length alone, I focus on creating a film that feels complete, meaningful, and true.
-
Most weddings are filmed personally by me, start to finish.
A second filmmaker can be added when additional coverage is desired — for example, overlapping moments, larger guest counts, or documentary edits. If it feels like the right fit for your day, I’ll guide you through that option.
-
Most films are delivered within 10–14 weeks, allowing time for a thoughtful, story-driven edit.
You’ll receive both a private viewing link and your custom USB keepsake.
